- In 2006, Mr. Gerard left his job at a multinational company to found Tribeca Partners, the first private capital fund in Colombia, which operates under the same approach that is used in the developed world, with the goal of taking advantage of the enormous opportunities offered by Colombia.
- Since 1995, Mr. Gerard has worked in the production and marketing of goods, mainly in the areas of general management, mergers and acquisitions, business development, and strategic planning, both in Colombia and in Latin America, as well as the United States and Europe.
- He was the president of Philip Morris Colombia, and held other positions for the same company in Latin America, Europe, and United States. He has also worked for Caterpillar, Merrill Lynch, and ING.
